This is it guys, I’ve officially decided to only purchase green + natural makeup products. After two years of slacking the time has finally come and I am pleasantly surprised by these products!
Natural Makeup/Beauty Haul
I prepared myself for spending money during the Black Friday + Cyber Monday deals this year and I fell for the free shipping offered by Eco Diva. So let’s take a quick sneak peek at the items that I picked up!
W3ll People Altruist Satin Mineral Foundation $34.00 CAD
For my skin tone, I chose #11 in Fair Pink.
With such a short, sweet and straight to the point ingredient list I was won over instantly. When I was searching for a new face powder, I knew that I wanted something without Talc. This powder is amazing! It is fragranced, but naturally with Aloe, Chamomile and Green Tea. I find that it leaves a nice glow on the face, although because my skin is so red I cannot see myself wearing only the powder. It works well to set foundation and concealer.
The W3ll People Altruist Satin Mineral Foundation Ingredients:
Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue, Mica, Kaolin Clay, Serecite, Silica, Organic Aloe Barbadenis (Aloe)*, Matricaria recutita (Chamomile)**, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea)* *USDA Organic, **QAI
W3ll People Capitalist Brow Pigment $16.50 CAD
After running out of my beloved Quo Brow Pencil, that I spoke briefly about in the The Great Makeup Purge 2017 I opted to order a mineral brow pigment. Knowing full well that I am the clumsiest person ever, I have already spilled the brow pigment once or twice… but luckily a little does go a long way!
The W3ll People Capitalist Brow Pigment Ingredients:
Jojoba oil, beeswax, candelilla wax, cornstarch, castor oil, vitamin e (wheat-germ based), may also contain mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides.
Yes, nearly $17 does seem like a high amount to pay for such basic ingredients, but it’s so worth it! I can see this jar easily lasting me six months.
I was scared that a powder would have a tendency to smudge on my brows (because I rub them a lot when I get stressed.) However the pigment stays and doesn’t budge at all. I swear these ingredients are magic.
This is the W3ll People Capitalist Brow Powder in #912 Matte Auburn.
Vapour Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation $68.00 CAD
I saved the best for last. HOLY SMOKES. I honestly had no faith in green makeup foundations after trying out a few other ones (Sante Cream Foundation + Physician’s Formula Tinted Moisturizer.) This foundation has renewed my faith and I can honestly tell you that if you are going to switch to a natural foundation that still provides medium coverage, look no further.
With an ingredient list that 70% Organic + 30% Minerals and Vitamins and has no animal testing it’s hard to find something better.
Organic Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil, Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Silica, Mica, Isocetyl Stearoyl Stearate*, Organic Cera Alba (Beeswax), Essential Oils and Natural Fruit Essences, Wildcrafted Boswellia Carteri (Frankincense) Gum, Organic Ocimum Sanctum (Tulsi/Holy Basil) Leaf Extract, Organic Nelumbo Nucifera (Lotus) Leaf Extract [+/—: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499)] *Eco-Cert
It has a super easy and straight forward application – you just use your hands. Yes, I know… If you love your beauty blender or brushes this could be a hard switch to make. I can happily give up cleaning my foundation brush weekly though. Now all I have to do is wash my hands!
Before spending almost $70 on this foundation I did my research because this is not cheap. I read reviews like crazy, trying to find one that was negative and the only negative opinions I found related to the application without a brush and coverage. It’s not a full coverage foundation, but it is amazing at covering spots and freckles.
It has a scent to it, but it’s not heavily perfumed and it’s not something that lasts. You will notice it for the first 30-60 seconds that you apply it.
This is shade s110.
I do want to write a more in-depth post on the foundation because I was so blown away by it, I think it would be beneficial to see before + after pictures with application.
All in all, I was really impressed with this natural makeup order from Eco Diva. They sent over a couple testers, the Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick in “Au Pair” which I have fallen in love with. As well as some coconut tanning lotion, which I surprisingly didn’t have an allergic reaction to! (Last year I found out the hard way that I was allergic to self-tanners and had hives all over my body.)
Another awesome thing about purchasing from Eco Diva, a portion of your purchase goes toward a charity of your choice from their list. I chose the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Here’s a list of the other charities that they contribute to. *I just want to note that Eco Diva did not sponsor this post. I just absolutely love their cause think it’s important to share!
What Charity would you want to sponsor?
