Forever on the hunt for the natural mascara that blows my socks off… let’s just see if the Living Nature Mascara is a contender in this competition!
Living Nature Mascara review $45.00 CAD from Well.ca
In case you’re new here, Living Nature is a brand that is now available from Well.ca. I have reviewed their concealer and tinted moisturizer! Today we’re going to chat about their mascara.
Behind the Brand:
LIVING NATURE IS A NATURAL SKINCARE COMPANY BASED OUT OF NEW ZEALAND. THEY PRIDE THEMSELVES ON HARNESSING NATURAL BOTANICALS AND CREATING EFFECTIVE PRODUCTS. YOU CAN READ MORE ABOUT THE BRAND, HERE.
About the Mascara
The Living Nature Thickening Mascara is naturally formulated; In 2016 it won the Green Parent Natural Beauty Awards for Gold. It’s highly-esteemed.
The Living Nature website describes this mascara as being “thickening, jet-black and impactful” with halloysite clay to help create bold lashes without the clumps.
It comes with a simple no-fuss wand and sleek black packaging — though if you have read my post on How to Recycle, you will know that I am no longer endorsing products packaged in black plastic as many recycling facilities will not accept it.
Key Ingredients
Halloysite (Kaolin) Clay
This Halloysite Clay is sourced from the Matauri Bay in New Zealand. It is described as one of the whitest and purest forms of clay. I love that Living Nature provides a description for many of their key ingredients and how they are sourced, including this Halloysite clay.

Thoughts on the Living Nature Mascara
Out of the three products I have reviewed so far from Living Nature this mascara is one of the best. Although it doesn’t provide anything in the way of lengthening it does live up to it’s claims of thickening the lashes.
One of the things I love about this mascara in particular, is that it is flake-free and does not smudge easily. I find that most natural mascaras have a tendency to flake and/or smudge — like the Fitglow Good Lash+, unfortunately.
Although I do prefer a mascara that lengthens, I really cannot complain too much about this mascara. It has thickening right in the description and absolutely no claims of providing massive volume.
Final Thoughts
This mascara is best suited for someone who already has very long lashes and is looking to thicken them. Alternatively, if you prefer a more natural look for your lashes and want a natural mascara that doesn’t flake or smudge this is also a good option.
The Living Nature Mascara is definitely not the most budget friendly mascara, however. If this costs just a bit too much for your liking I would highly-recommend the Pure Anada Mascara.
