I don’t believe in diets－ I believe that you can be healthy providing you eat everything in moderation. Including the Graydon Keto Cleanse, which as they would describe, is a diet for your skin.
Graydon Keto Cleanse Review
Behind the Brand
Graydon is a Canadian Skincare brand that believes in “plant-powered” ingredients. Where the ingredients work in harmony with your skin to nurture and provide a life force. In a nut shell, Graydon provides food for your skin.
A few things about Graydon skincare really stand out to me: when possible they choose to source from Canada, their products are EWG certified and they strongly believe in high quality products.
Available in 30ml or sample size ($3.00)
I have a few friends who decided to start the Ketogenic diet which is essentially cutting out all carbs and refined sugars. To summarize (and I’m not a nutrition expert by any means) the Ketogenic diet is eating more nourishing and rich fatty foods like nature intended.
The Keto Cleansing oil uses natural fatty oils to melt away dirt, makeup and grime from the day. It comes in a glass eye-dropper bottle (why don’t all oils come this way!?) which further enhances the feeling of a high-end, luxurious skincare brand.
The Keto Cleanse has a very short and sweet ingredient list.
Caprylic/capric triglyceride (MCT) oil
Caprylic/ Capric Acid is a medium chain triglyceride which has anti-microbial properties which is derived from coconut oil.
If you ask me to explain a medium chain triglyceride I would probably screw it up, I’d leave that to an expert like Anne from Linda Libra Loca (A.K.A the Skincare Guru.)
Cocos Nucifera (coconut) oil
Coconut Oil is a nourishing fatty acid. In the past I have steered clear from Coconut oil in my skincare routine as it can be comedogenic. However, the Keto Cleanse is removed from the skin and therefore does not clog pores.
Ghee is a form of clarified butter or cooking oil. It’s a great moisturizer and it also doesn’t expire. Because like removes like, the oil works well to lift dirt and debris from the skin.
How to Use
It’s super simple, quick and easy! Take the eye dropper and squeeze the product into the palm of your hand. Spread (gently) on the skin and remove with a warm damp cloth (I’ve been using Madison’s baby cloths — we have so many of them!) Follow with a second cleanse.
My Thoughts on the Keto Cleansing Oil
I’ve never been one to like oil-based makeup removers, I don’t know why but I just couldn’t get into them. After using the Graydon Keto Cleanse I am a changed person! This has been my preferred method for makeup removal as a first cleanse followed by the Andalou Naturals Brightening Cleanser.
Obviously this is not left on the skin and therefore the coconut oil has not caused my skin to break out, thankfully. I’ve been loving how soft and smooth my skin is now after cleansing and completing my skincare routine.
I’m seriously wondering why I didn’t start using an oil-based cleanser as step one in my skincare routine years ago. I love my makeup eraser but it’s just way too harsh around my eyes. The Graydon Keto Cleanse easily removes non-waterproof mascara.
I’m totally smitten over the Graydon Keto Cleanse. It’s so simple and yet so effective at the same time. I am seriously in love with the packaging and on top of it all, it is a Canadian skincare brand! I’ve got a few more products to test out but stay tuned because I think this may be one of my all-time favourite brands!
